Registration is now open for Thynkcity NextGen Summer Camp 2026 — two weeks (August 3–28) of robotics, coding and AI for kids and teens, running across three locations: in-person at Capstone School, in-person at Gulf Coast International School, and fully virtual for families anywhere.
What's different this year
Camp splits into a Junior track (ages 7–11) and a Senior track (ages 12–16), so activities are actually pitched at the right level instead of one-size-fits-all. Juniors spend their two weeks on guided robot builds, Scratch-based game design, and an introduction to AI through hands-on, playful projects. Seniors go further — programming their own robots, working with real datasets, and building a small web or app project from scratch.
Every track, at every location, ends the same way: Demo Day. Parents, siblings and friends are invited in to see what their camper actually built — not a slideshow of what they learned about, but a working robot, a playable game, a functioning project they can demo themselves.
Virtual campers get the same hands-on experience
Our fully virtual track isn't a scaled-down version of the in-person camp. Every virtual registrant receives a starter kit shipped ahead of time, so the two weeks are just as hands-on as sitting in our Lagos labs — the same builds, the same live tutor-led sessions, the same Demo Day, just from wherever you are.
Spots are limited
Each location runs small, tutor-led groups by design — it's a big part of why campers get real attention instead of getting lost in a crowd. That means spots fill up before the start date every year. If you're considering it, registering early is the difference between the location/track you want and a waitlist.
